A bomb scare that shut down central Truckee for close to four hours is finally over.
Luckily, a suspicious bag found at the train station turned out to be nothing more than a suitcase full of clothes.
Hundreds of people were evacuated from the area because of the threat.
Truckee police cleared out the entire historic downtown area.
Streets were blocked off, businesses where shut down and some residents were asked to leave their homes.
All of this was done to make sure a black bag was in fact luggage, and not a bomb.
Police were even more concerned because of the spot where the bag was left.
Train service was also disrupted for close to four hours tonight.
As of 10 pm, trains were up and running again and police allowed people to return to the downtown area.
