RENO, NV - A Reno police officer sustained minor injuries after crashing his motorcycle on 395 Saturday morning.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the officer lost control of his 2009 Harley Davidson just north of the Glendale exit on 395/I-580. The bike drifted and hit the concrete jersey wall on the left before sliding back across the roadway down the travel lanes. It is not clear what caused the officer to lose control.
The number one, two and three lanes were closed for around 45 minutes while the accident was investigated. The driver was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police also say after this accident a 3-car accident took place on Southbound 395/I-580 directly across the way. There were no reported injuries and the accident was moved to the highway shoulder.
