A soldier-- with roots in the Truckee Meadows-- has been killed in Iraq.
31-year old Army Sergeant Eric Morris was killed on April 28th, when a bomb exploded near his military vehicle. Four soldiers in all were killed in the blast. Sergeant Morris listed Sparks as his hometown, although his wife and two stepdaughters currently live in Washington. He was assigned to the Stryker Brigade Combat team of the 25th Infantry division out of Fort Lewis in Washington.
