Public's Help Sought in Identifying Victim Found In River

Law enforcement authorities are seeking the public's help in identifying a man found dead last month in the Truckee River east of Reno.

Washoe County sheriff's deputies said a hunter saw the man's legs on Jan. 7 in the river near Mustang and called police. The white male, believed to be between 45 and 60, did not have any identification.

Investigators said the victim appeared to be dressed for cold temperatures, and his body apparently was in the Truckee before it
washed onto its edge.

Investigators have said there's no indication foul play was involved in his death.
