High winds are making travel hazardous both north and south of Reno.
The Nevada Highway Patrol is trying to upright a truck that overturned on its side on US Highway 395 just north of Reno near Red Rock.
Trooper Scott Simon says there are no injuries but at least one of the northbound travel lanes is blocked.
Simon says 60 mile-per-hour winds are blowing snow and sand across the highway.
Earlier today, the patrol banned big trucks and high profile vehicles from a stretch of US Highway 395 in Washoe Valley south of Reno.
Those vehicles are being routed onto the Old 395 highway, where a trooper's patrol car was struck by another vehicle this morning. No one was injured. It's the second time this week a patrol car has been hit during dangerous driving conditions in the valley.
