The commitments keep rolling in for the Wolf Pack men's basketball team Less than a week after landing juco star Demarshay Johnson from California, Nevada will now have a little foreign flavor on the roster as well...
6-foot-7, 210 pound forward Denis (Yak-Olev) Ikovlev made his commitment to the University of Nevada this afternoon. Ikovlev averaged 17 points and seven rebounds per game last season at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa. He brings a different kind of game because at 6-7 he can play a post position, but he can also shoot the three pointer. Denis says he can't wait to get to Reno...
Ikovlev is originally from the Ukraine...but he moved to the United States when he was in the fourth grade, and has been playing basketball ever since...This makes four in this year's class...juco transfers Johnson and Ikovlev...and high school seniors Jeremy Mayfield and Richie Phillips.
