After putting up 50 wins in two seasons the Wolf Pack men's basketball team is in the mix for a ton of highly regarded recruits and tonight, one of those recruits chose the Pack over everyone else.
Nevada got a verbal commitment from 6-foot-9 forward Demarshay Johnson late this afternoon. Demarshay averaged 19 points, nine a half rebounds and five blocks per game last season for Diablo Valley College.
Demarshay was a part time student at Nevada back in 2002 but never qualified academically. Sporting News magazine ranks Johnson as one of the top 50 junior college players in the country. He is the cousin of Nevada senior-to-be, Mo Charlo...
Johnson will join a pair of high school players in this year's class, 6-11 center Jeremy Mayfield from Irving, Texas...and 6-7 forward Richard Phillips from Seattle...
