A small earthquake struck in this upscale area on Lake Tahoe's northeast shore, the University of Nevada, Reno Seismology Laboratory reported.
The lab said the magnitude 3.2 temblor occurred at 2:18 p.m. Monday about five miles north of Incline Village. The quake was felt as far away as Carson City, about 20 miles to the southeast.
A ski patrol dispatcher at Mount Rose Ski Resort about six miles east of the reported site of the earthquake said there were no immediate reports of any damage or avalanche activity.
