Spanish Springs residents may soon have closer places to shop.
The Sparks Planning Commission paved the way for a new major Shopping Center. It would be built directly across from Kohl's and the soon-to-be built Wal-Mart Superstore on the Pyramid Highway and Los Altos Parkway. It's expected to house a collection of national retailers that would sell everything from bed and bath products to books to pet supplies and sporting goods.
The Sparks City Council must give final approval. It's set to review the project on April 18th.
