Public Meeting to Discuss Homeowners Disaster Assistance Program

Nevada Divison Of Emergency Management will be holding a meeting Wednesday night in Fernley to talk about the State of Nevada's disaster assistance program.

WHAT: Public meeting to discuss "H-DAP" (Homeowners Disaster Assistance Program)

WHERE: Cottonwood Elementary School ,925 Farm District Road, Fernley, Nevada

WHEN: 6PM, Wednesday January 23, 2008

WHY: The state legislature put approximately $4.5 million into a special disaster assistance program for homeowners to help pay for home repairs after a disaster. This meeting will introduce the HDAP program, including application assistance and eligibility rules. The program is open to homeowners in the flooded area of Fernley. You must live in the home to qualify. Homeowners can qualify for up to $28,800, subject to the availability of funds.
