Construction crews made finishing touches last night as volunteers handed the Boettcher family’s house keys over to “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” designers in order to wrap up the secret theme rooms in time for the family’s arrival.
The reveal of the home is tentatively scheduled for today between 1 and 4 p.m.
“I can’t believe how much we’ve accomplished in the last few days; it’s truly incredible,” said Lou Borrego, CEO of West Haven Development Group.
“I’m so proud of everyone who has worked on this project with us; it was truly an effort on behalf of the whole state as we all came together to help this family."
" We’ve all achieved so much through this. I can’t wait to see the Boettcher’s faces when the house is unveiled and they get to go inside."
"The ultimate reward is seeing this family not only getting a new house, but a new life.”
Owner and CFO of West Haven Development Group, Candy Borrego added, “This has been such an amazing process and I’m so excited that we were able to be a part of it. Thank you to everyone who has helped us on this project – your efforts are appreciated more than you can know. And I’m sure the family will feel the same way when they see their new house today!”
The Boettcher home is revealed between 1 and 4 p.m. today.
The Boettcher home is located at 8755 Cimarron Trail in Stagecoach, east of Carson City.
The family will not be available for interviews at this time; however “Extreme Makeover” designers will be available to speak with.
