The Regional Gang Unit is handling this case, but because they don't have any suspects identified right now police don't know if the shooting Saturday night was gang related.
Sergeant Walt Frazier says the victims in the case weren't associated with any local gang.
An innocent bystander was hit in the hip by a stray bullet, she was treated and released from a local hospital.
Police say the shooting may be gang related because of the suspect's cars they are similar to vehicles driven by a couple gangs in town.
Detectives say the shooting last Sunday at the Meadowood Mall was gang related.
Two rival groups were in the same place at the same time.
Police say the shooting may have escalated from a fight the night before in Downtown Reno.
Either way sergeant Frasier says we're seeing a change in the gang culture gone are the days of just teenage violence.
