Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public Assistance For Missing Man

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance in locating a 62 year-old male named Dennis Kelly.

Mr. Kelly was reported missing by his wife on Wednesday evening.

Mrs. Kelly reported she last saw her husband on Monday at approximately 10:30 am.

Mrs. Kelly said she last saw her husband as he left their residence in Indian Hills to take a walk.

Mrs. Kelly reported that her husband was despondent over personal issues, and she believes he may have taken a walk into the hills adjacent to the Indian Hills/Jacks Valley residential areas to have some personal time.

A subsequent check of the area and neighborhood by members of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office was conducted, however that check was unsuccessful in locating Mr. Kelly.

Mr. Kelly is described as: 5ft-10in tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds, medium size build, with gray hair, a long gray beard, and blue eyes.

Mr. Kelly was reported to have been wearing olive-green pants and a green flannel shirt at the time of his disappearance.

Mrs. Kelly described her husband as an outdoorsman in good health, however he suffers from depression.

Anyone who may have seen Mr. Kelly, or has information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division at 782-9905 or 782-9080.

No foul play is suspected at this time.
