The Nevada Highway Patrol says a man wanted on a $1.5 million warrant for vehicular homicide and reckless driving in the death of his wife has been arrested in Elko.
The patrol says 58-year-old John Williams was arrested at his mothers house without incident Tuesday night.
According to authorities, Williams was stopped Sept. 18, 2007 by sheriff's deputies in Ely for possible drunken driving.
When asked to get out of the vehicle, he sped away.
While trying to evade officers, his vehicle rolled and his wife, Marlene Williams, was killed.
The patrol says John Williams was taken to a hospital in Utah for serious injuries, then avoided contact with authorities upon his discharge.
