A robbery at an Indian smoke shop in Reno
turned deadly Wednesday when a tribal police officer apparently
shot and killed the suspect.
A law officer for the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony shot the
suspected robber about 3 p.m.
The victim reportedly robbed the smoke shop east of downtown and
fled on foot through the neighborhood on tribal land. The officer
shot the suspect a few blocks away in the area of Park and Golden
streets, the television station said.
Reno police and the FBI were on the scene. No other details were
immediately available.
