Reno Man Pleads Guilty In Infant's Death

A 22-year-old Reno man has pleaded guilty to shaking and killing his infant daughter when he couldn't stop her crying.

Charles Barry Forrest faces life in prison when sentenced in February.

Forrest was charged with child abuse related to first-degree murder in the death of his 7-week-old daughter, Mirage, in November 2006.

He told police he had shaken the baby after she began coughing and choking during a feeding. He summoned the girl's mother and called 911 when the infant stopped breathing.

An autopsy concluded the infant died of severe head trauma.
