A Nevada Highway trooper was investigating an accident scene but nearly became a part of the scene himself.

It happened around 5 p.m., Wed., when a trooper responding to a rollover crash was taking measurements of the scene on the off ramp at US 395 and Clear Acre. An Isuzu was heading down the off ramp but slowed down as it approached the trooper. A Chrysler, driven by 41-year-old Jolie Hoyt, saw the Isuzu too late and swerved to avoid hitting the SUV but right into the path of the trooper.

Luckily, the trooper darted out of the way in time to avoid Hoyt right before she rear-ended the SUV.

Hoyt tested positive for Methamphetamine and Amphetamines and was placed under arrest for DUI drugs and for failing to use due care; both misdemeanors, as well as being under the influence of a controlled substance; a felony.

She was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility with a total bail of $1,895.

Although Hoyt's passenger, 48-year-old Robert Price, walked away from the accident with a scraped head, he was also unlucky. He was arrested at the scene and charged with possessing 113 grams of marijuana in four separate 1 ounce quantities for sales and for not wearing a seat-belt.

His total bail was $2,487.

Dont listen to these imposters. I am he and he is he and he is me and I'm not scared to speak for the truth. Remember the Red Scare? Well I don't but this times its the Brown Scare and we Americans need to take it seriously before all our jobs is taken.

Susancarroll and george! Your comments are irrelevant. You two individuals need to crawl under a rock and never come out. Nowhere in the article and the comments does it mention car insurance or mexicans. God i hope you two dont reproduce, as your children will be as dumb as you. And yes i did look at your referred website. Whos the webmaster? Your husband?

I just want to point out that this is a white person. Not all drug, or gang, or crimes in our area is caused by the Mexican race. I think we need to stop pointing our fingers at the Mexican race and realize that all crimes are commited by all races...Just sayin...
