Snowy Night & Morning In Northern Nevada

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 10 am pst Thursday.

Light to moderate snow moved into the area Wednesday night, leaving a blanket of snow Thursday morning.

Much of the snow turned to sleet or freezing rain late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

Snow and sleet accumulations of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts are expected by 10 am Thursday.

Ice and snow have already made roads, bridges and sidewalks slick and hazardous with a number of accidents early Thursday morning.

NHP advise that driving conditions could deteriorate rapidly and
motorists should use extreme caution and allow extra time to reach their destination.
