Foggy Driving

For a second straight day, drivers were greeted to thick fog on their morning commute. In some places, north of Reno, you could barely see the car in front of you.
The Reno Police Department says they responded to 16 accidents, the Nevada Highway Patrol says says nine a similar six hour time period. Officers say they were mostly rear enders.
The worst being in the North Valleys and Washoe Valley.
They say drivers say people just aren't paying attention.
When we had those two powerful winter storms, they knew to slow down. There was two feet of snow on the ground...and it was obvious conditions were bad. The past few days, the roads have looked dry...but, they're really icy.
Police suggest, for every five miles an hour, to leave at least seven feet of stopping distance. When the roads are this may be a good idea to double that number.
