Looting In Flooded Nevada Town

Homeowners in Fernley are unfortunately dealing with another effect of the floods: looting.

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is investigating quite a few theft reports.

Deputies say that when the residents of one home on Cold Water Drive finally returned home, several items had been stolen, including a coin collection worth about $2500 dollars.

Deputies say they are patrolling the area very closely and there is no indication of widespread looting.
