It was a car lovers dream for the last few days at the Reno Sparks convention center. The Auto show drove into town and showcased all the latest makes and models.
The auto show is a great place to check out your new car, truck or SUV or just dream. It's the place where auto makers showcase their new makes and models with brand new gadgets and all the extras.
Step inside and choose from any make, model or color. They call this shade, "sunburst orange". Check under the hood and kick the tires, well maybe not so hard, these vehicles are the fresh off the line. SUV's are still driving away with alot of attention. Recent cold and icy weather reminds many they're the only way to get around. Some families are trading in their current models for upgrades like this one. Third row seating is a popular feature where more passengers can ride comfortably and groceries can have their own seat as well.
But there's a time to leave your SUV at home and slip into something sleeker and put your top down in style. While the luxery cars always turn heads, there's one funky ride that dealers can't keep in showrooms. A promotion manager for "Scion" said this kind of vehicles is popular mainly because the vehicle has personality. Customers can personalize it, putting on wheels tires, rims, put x-box and play stations inside with TV, monitors, lower the vehicle, raise the vehicle or anything you want to do to it.
A real trend in cars and SUVs is the hybrid and for the second year in a row a hybrid vehicle claimed one of the auto industry's top two prizes. The Ford Escape Hybrid was the North American Truck of the year and the Chysler 300 was named North American car of the year.
