Another dose of winter is hitting the Sierra Nevada today, but forecasters say it won't be nearly as potent as last weekend's storms that left up to 11 feet of snow in the mountains around Lake Tahoe.
A winter storm warning is in effect for the Sierra. The National Weather Service says up to a foot of new snow is expected above 7,000 feet.
The Reno-Carson City area chould see rain and snow this afternoon, with 3 inches possible on the valley floors.
