Storm Doesn't Dampen New Year's Plans

The weather has hotel and gaming businesses wondering what will happen to the New Year's Eve crowds.
It appears the wet weather isn't dampening their spirits.
Major properties report being sold out all week long,
With New Year's Eve just the beginning of an eventful weekend.
Forecasters are predicting a nice wet storm in our area for the next couple of days...coinciding with big time New Year's festivities at major properties throughout the area. A time to worry.....no way.
Peaua (pay-ou-wa) says with so many activities planned like concerts, gaming and recreation...there's no turning back and she convinced the weather won't have visitors turning their back on Northern Nevada. She points out this kind of weather is nothing new...and there's plenty to keep visitors occupied inside property walls. Other establishments agree.
And if this storm forces to keep visitors here longer than they expected?
This weekend has the potential of being a real money maker for hotel casinos...a normally slow time..the New Year's Holiday falls on a weekend which means people may stay an extra day or two.
