Prepare For Power Outages

With all the wind and blizzard like conditions, Sierra Pacific have warned that you should expect some power outages.

The high winds have already caused power outages in certain ares, mainly due to downed power lines.

Officals from Sierra Pacific have said that they have prepared for the high winds and snow days in advance and have crews ready to go.

If your power is out, check to see if your neighbours or any nearby buildings still have power or lights on, if not, it is probably the area and Sierra Pacific will try to restore power as soon as possible.

If lights or power is on, you may first want to check the breakers in your house or apartment before calling Sierra Pacific.

Here are some tips on how to be ready in case the power goes out:

--YOU SHOULD HAVE 1.5 GALLONS OF WATER, PER PERSON, FOR THREE DAYS.
--STOCK UP ON CANNED GOODS AND KNOW WHERE YOUR CAN OPENER IS.
--GET SOME FRESH BATTERIES
--CHARGE YOUR CELL PHONE NOW
--GET MONEY OUT OF THE ATM NOW...BECAUSE IF THE POWER GOES OUT YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO USE THE MONEY WALL.
--HAVE A FIRST AID KIT...AND PLENTY OF WARM CLOTHES AND CANDLES.
