Sunday am... better coverage. Thank you KOLO for looking after us. I live at about 7500 feet at Heavenly. Being conservative, I am certain we got at least 10 feet of snow up here by now. Whew!
thank you kolo 8 for the update on the fernley storm i just moved but my brother still lives there so it s great to kno whats goin on
Thanks to KOLO for such great coverage! I lived there for 25 years and used to watch Tad Dunbar every day!! I currently have a daughter "stuck" there because of the weather. Through your website, I'm able to keep up to date info. So, thank you KOLO. To the woman upset about Macy's staying open: #1 would it be safe to send employees home from the store during the storm? #2 It's not as easy as simply shutting the doors...there needs to be corporate approval. I worked for them for many years and went to work in many a storm...we always sent people living in outlying areas home first to beat the worst. #3 Is it O.K. for nurses and doctors to come out in that? Trust me...hospitals are open 24/7. If you do think that's acceptable...are their lives worth less? Shame on you...
Great Coverage last night - both from Kolo and from Mother ;^) I shovelled three times before nightfall and there's still three feet on the drive! We may have gotten 5'? I really appreciate the folks at Kolo, I just wish you did half as good a job on followup in the am as you do in the evening.. I am trying to get a picture of what it looks like beyond my front door!
I think that businesses such as Macy's who force their employees to stay at work until 10 p.m. when there is a winter storm BLIZZARD WARNING!!! issued by the National Weather Service should be ashamed of themselves for putting people's lives in danger! Is it really worth the sale of a bottle of perfume? Besides, I really don't think there are a lot of us willing to make the trek down to the mall right now...I don't know, maybe I'm the one that's crazy!
I thank KOLO for the weather conditions and current news. We have chirldren and grandchildren in that area and i can get all the news at my fingertips...Great Job!
