The suspect involved in a hit and run accident in Sparks is still on the loose, after the accident sent five people to the hospital.
Sparks Police say a van filled with a family was stopped at the light on Rock Boulevard on North McCarran, when a truck plowed into the van.
Three of the five people injured were children, in ages ranging from 5 to 10. Officials say the victims were alert and responsive when ambulances arrived.
Police say the driver of the van was drunk, and ran away from the accident. He is described as Hispanic, wearing a white hoodie and jeans. He may not have been alone; it's possible he left with a passenger who was riding in his truck.
You're urged to call Sparks Police if you have any information.
