Law enforcement agencies say New Year's Eve was relatively peaceful across northern Nevada, but 28 people were booked into the Washoe County Jail for driving under the influence.
The arrests were made from 6 p-m Monday through 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Another 10 people were charged with domestic battery.
The Nevada Highway Patrol says troopers arrested 14 people for DUI, most coming after midnight.
Trooper Chuck Allen says a woman was arrested when she was found passed out in her vehicle that was stopped in the travel lane on
the Pyramid Highway.
One man arrested for DUI was also charged with child endangerment because his young children were in the vehicle.
