A Reno emergency room doctor faces a Feb. 4 preliminary hearing on charges of writing prescriptions for pain killers to two topless dancers who were not his patients.
Dr. Dana Marks, 48, remains free on his own recognizance on two counts of unlawful dispensing of a controlled substance, authorities said.
According to a criminal complaint, Kandace Luper, 22, a dancer at the Wild Orchid Adult Cabaret, was arrested May 16 at a Reno drug store after a pharmacist called police and reported she was attempting to pick up a fraudulent prescription for hydrocodone.
Marks also is accused of writing nine prescriptions for pain medicine for Vanessa Gonzales, another dancer at the club.
