Nevada's Millennium Scholarships should be around to help a second generation of students.
Governor Guinn posed with legislative leaders to announce long-term funding for the Millennium Scholarship program.
It originally operated off tobacco settlement money, but increasing enrollment has caused the program to lose money.
This year, 18-thousand Millenniuium Scholars are using the money to go to college.
The plan announced today would use money from unclaimed property to buy bonds...and the bonds would help pay for scholarships.
