University of Nevada, Reno engineers destroyed the largest bridge ever tested today.
The earthquake simulation is designed to show...what happens when a bridge fails.
Researchers will take that information to state agencies...to help them build safer bridges in the future.
Their shake-table testing facility is internationally known, and can re-create an earthquake up to an eight-point-OH magnitude.
Professors, from other universities across the nation, helped in the four month long project.
