Reno Police are investigating a brutal home-invasion robbery.

Around 8 p.m. Tuesday officers rushed to a home on Kirman, near Thoma.

Police say the man who lives there was beaten with a wooden bat by two intruders.

According to authorities, the suspects kicked down a locked and deadbolted door in order to attack the 69-year-old resident. It's believed a television set was stolen.

The victim was treated by Remsa paramedics. The elderly man was alert at the scene.

Police found footprints in the snow, but an officer says the prints aren't very detailed.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Secret Witness.
