Anticipate Traffic Delays Along Toy Run Rout

Motorists should anticipate potential traffic delays along Saturday's scheduled motorcycle toy run route, cautions the Reno Police Department's Traffic Division which suggests motorists consider
alternate routes.

The annual motorcycle toy run is scheduled to begin at John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks at about noon on Saturday, and will proceed along a nearly 8-mile route to the Reno Elk's Lodge, according to Reno Police Sergeant Pat Dreelan.

Officers from the Reno Police Department, Sparks Police Department and Nevada Highway Patrol will assist with traffic control along the route. Temporary closure of Leap Frog Street will be in effect for the toy run, Dreelan says.

According to Dreelan, the route will move from the Nugget turning north onto 14th Street in Sparks, then turn west onto Victorian Avenue and follow that street onto 4th Street in Reno, then turn south onto Arlington Avenue.

The motorcycles will take Arlington south and turn east onto Plumb Lane, then south onto Lakeside Drive.

The toy run will turn east onto Moana Lane turning south onto Virginia Street to the Elks Lodge on Kumle Lane.
