Stolen Motor Vehicle Leads to Arrest and Recovered Puppy

On November 28, at approximately 1:00am, a deputy located a stolen vehicle during a routine area check near Red Rock.

The vehicle was occupied by, Dean Lewis Devencenzi, 30 years old of Reno, and a female juvenile.

The vehicle had been taken from a casino parking lot about 6 hours earlier.

Both suspects were taken into custody.

It was discovered during the investigation that a very tiny Yorkshire terrier puppy had been in the back of the vehicle when it was stolen earlier that evening.

The puppy was not in the vehicle and deputies hoped to recover the puppy which weighed under 1 pound.

Deputies drove to numerous locations around town attempting to locate him and return him to the owners who were visiting from out of town.

At approximately 4:00 am, deputies located the puppy at a home in Sparks.

“Nino” was immediately returned to his very joyful owners.
