Box by box, Jeff Malewski and his girlfriend Michelle, transport the contents of their life across town in an effort to save money on rent.
According to a new study conducted by RealFacts, the average monthly rent for a one-bedroom in Reno-Sparks is now 784 dollars, ranking us 12th out of 30 major metropolitan areas in the West. It sounds high, but keep in mind that's about half of what people are paying in Los Angeles.
But perhaps surprisingly, it's less than what people pay in other major cities like Portland, Oregon and Phoenix, Arizona.
Some analysts say that's because our growth is limited by geography.
