The Malibu fire has destroyed 53 homes and torched 4,900 acres. Firefighters declared the blaze 90 percent contained this morning, after getting help from a cool Pacific Ocean breeze that kept temperatures low and moisture high. As many as 14,000 people were evacuated after the flames broke out early Saturday.
