If you had to go to the grocery store today, it looked more like a Saturday afternoon, than a Thursday. The crowds at the Northtown Winco this afternoon were unbelievable. Managers and checkers we talked to say this is *not typical. But with news of a major winter storm headed toward our area, many people are stocking up. Jean Malla a Doyle Resident says, "It's been snowing and we've been snowed in for a week. A friend with a tractor dug us out. I live above Doyle and so we're above the snow line. I've gotta get supplies now or we're out of luck."
Many carts today were loaded with deicers and pre-fabricated fire logs. Lots of people stocked up on milk for the kids, while others found cases of beer a necessity.
