'The Producers' To Be Latest Broadway Casualty on Las Vegas Strip

The Broadway musical "The Producers" is going to become the latest casualty on the Las Vegas Strip.

Mel Brooks' story of a scheming producer and his accountant who try to produce a flop and then reap the benefits is closing February 9th after a one-year run.

Tony Danza has extended his contract another month to remain with the show until the final curtain.

Danza joined the show at Paris Las Vegas in August in the lead role of Max Bialystock.

The show opened in February with David Hasselhoff acting as the cross-dressing director, Roger Debris. Hasselhoff left the show in May.
