Developers of a hotel-casino in northern Douglas County say they hope to begin construction by next summer.
The proposed $250 million Goldtown resort would be built on the south corner of Sunridge Drive and U.S. 395.
Plans calls for 300-room hotel, casino, events and business centers, and a health and wellness spa.
If built, the casino resort will be in company with another similar proposed resort, Jethro Bodine's "Beverly Hillbillies" Mansion and Casino, expected to take shape a mile north along the highway.
Douglas County planning commissioners will get a first look at the new design at a meeting Dec. 11.
If approved, the plan will move to the county's board of commissioners for final actions.
