A Las Vegas police sergeant is making a documentary about police officer suicides.
Sergeant Clarke Paris says officers are in a high stress job where they deal with a lot of tragedy.
The 23-year veteran says to cope with the stress, some officers end up turning to alcohol or have gambling and money problems.
Paris says if it starts to feel like too much, many think suicide is the only option and they always have a gun within reach.
Paris has a $75,000 budget for his documentary, which is called "The Pain Behind the Badge."
He has teamed up with a local production crew but is conducting all the interviews himself.
