Now's the time to start thinking about recycling your old Christmas tree.
Officials say by recycling cut trees people help preserve landfill space, and reduce illegal dumping.
"Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful" set-up three sites, starting today, for people to bring by their tree.
You can bring your tree to Bartley Ranch Park, Rancho San Rafael Park, or to the Shadow Mountain Sports Complex in Sparks.
Tree collection will continue through January 16th.
The sites will be open daily from 9:00 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon.
