The busiest shipping day of the year nearly over for places like Fedex and those mom and pop stores in Reno.
Fedex's system was jammed today...shipping four-point-six million packages.
30-thousand pieces alone went out of its Reno office.
Managers say they saw a 70 to 80 percent spike in business.
Local mom and pop stores were just as busy.
Mail Boxes Etc. on South Virginia shipped out more than 200 parcels today.
They say people are spending more so they're sending more.
Both Fedex and Mail Boxes Etc. have extended hours this week...open til nine and seven at night respectively.
