Election officials don't want a repeat of primary night...where it wasn't until 18 hours, after the polls had closed, that all the votes were counted.
Washoe County has started training its poll workers for the general election.
The focus once again...on procedures with the new voting machines.
Registrar of Voters Dan Burk has hired nearly a thousand poll workers to work the precincts on election night.
At training sessions this week, they're getting a feel again for touch screen voting machines.
As a system of checks and balances, Washoe County is also training assistant managers for each polling place.
Officials are worried about possible disturbances at the precincts...because there's so many hotly contested races on the ballot.
