Assistant basketball coach killed in a car accident

Assistant Women's Basketball coach of the Wolf Pack Mike Gervasoni was killed Thursday, October 21, 2004, when his car was hit by a pickup truck on Highway 395.
Police say the driver of the pickup, 29-year-old Eric MacGill, may have run a red light, but so far no charges have been filed.
Saturday afternoon, administrators spoke publicly for the first time about the tragedy.
The athletic director Gary Groth said the loss of Gervasoni was a big loss to the school. Groth also thanked everyone's help in this difficult time.
In leu of flowers, the family of MacGill is asking donations be made to Bishop O'Dowd High School.
