Truckee Flow

The higher water levels particularly here at the Truckee have already gone down in 24-hours. Right now the flow is at Two-hundred-30 cubic feet per second. That's at the Sutro Bridge.
Last week's flow was at about one-hundred-17 cubic feet per second.
All of this is good news for kyackers who are taking advantage of the park downtown.
This October may be a record breaker in terms of the amount of precipitation. But experts say even that is just a drop in the bucket when it comes to ending the drought.
The state climatologist says just as important as the precipitation is the temperature. If it stays cooler that means the snow pack can stick around longer on the Sierra. As you know we down here in the Truckee Meadows depend upon that snow pack to supply our water for the rest of the year.
