A preschool and child care center, that's served the Stead area for more than twenty years, is shut down tonight over safety violations.
Happy Landing closed its doors for good about a half hour ago.
The Washoe County Airport Authority, which leases the building, says the daycare center failed a fire safety inspection Friday.
Teachers were given twenty four hours notice...to pack up their stuff and leave, while parents were issued a letter today...stating they needed to find new child care.
You can call the Department of Social Services, at 337-4470, for more information on daycare services in the area.
County workers have identifed at least eighty places which are available as soon as tomorrow.
