Nevada's Columbus
What would Columbus Day be without a story about an old Nevada mining town in Esmerelda County called Columbus?
It was located north of Coaldale Junction off of Highway 95.
But the town itself wasn't built on a foundation of gold.
It was built on something even more precious than gold.
It was water.
