Nevada Democrats are crying foul over a challenge that could disqualify more than 17 thousand Democrats who are registered in Nevada's 3rd Congressional distric in Las Vegas.
The former executive director of the state Republican Party, says the people no longer live at the addresses where they registered, and shouldn't be allowed to vote for local politicians in that district.
The challenge would not affect their ability to vote in state or national elections.
Democrats say he's trying to surpress votes. State Republicans say they don't agree with the tactics.
The district attorney's office is expected to rule on the challenge next week.
