Sparks J.P. Agrees To Lifetime Judicial Ban

By  |

A former Sparks justice of the peace who left 48 cases unresolved when he retired last year has agreed never to hold judicial office again.
Paul Freitag also agreed to pay a two-thousand-dollar fine that will go to the Washoe County Law Library...and to write a letter of apology that will be forwarded to the people affected by his inaction in 12 criminal cases and 36 civil cases.
The Nevada Judicial Discipline Commission censured Freitag...and banned him from ever being a judge again in Nevada.
He has agreed to the ban.
