Two Men Treated, Released After Stabbing

Two men were treated and released from the hospital after a stabbing about 2:20 a.m. Saturday in the area of the former Park Lane Mall, the Reno Police Department reported.

Officers from the Regional Gang Unit and Reno Police Department patrol responded to the Tequila Rock Bar at 2303 S. Virginia St., Suite 5 on a report of a stabbing. There, they found two men with multiple puncture wounds.

One man had 19 stab wounds and the other had five, police said. Both were treated and released, police said.

Police stopped a vehicle as it left the scene.

Two males from Reno were arrested. Zadick Farfan, 19, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and battery with a deadly weapon. Luis Alfaro-Hidalgo, whose age was not available, was arrested on suspicion of battery with a deadly weapon.

Police said the incident appears to be gang motivated.
