There's a wildfire burning in the Eldorado National Forest..and it's bringing smoke to the Carson Valley. The Salt Springs Fire is burning in a remote area of the forest in Amador County- south of Lake Tahoe. It's about 25 miles from the town of Jackson.
The fire is burning in a rugged canyon area is NOT threatening any homes. So far it's burned more than 220 acres. Air tankers and helicopters are battling the fire. Officials are calling it 50-percent contained. Full containment is expected by Saturday.
